Godaddy MX records for google

if godaddy is the name server:

1) MyAccount (far right)
2) myProducts (third option)
3) select domain name
4) select “nameservers”
5) select “I have a hosting account with these domains.” (third option on the list)
6) select DNS Manager launch
7) for google mx records, make the mx records look like this:

1 @ ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.

5 @ ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.

5 @ ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.

10 @ ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.

10 @ ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.

8) CLICK SAVE ! ! ! ! !

if the name server is elsewhere but the website is HOSTED at godaddy:

one – to begin, create a google apps account

two – the instructions are here to point godaddy domain mx records to google apps

three – make sure your godaddy “DNS Manager” looks like this picture below:
