1) sound card – go into terminal (not just run) and type alsamixer – then “s”

2) RAID – simply use the file manager, select the “browse network” option and find the raid.

3) Chrome – practically installs itself!

4) VLC – this can be installed with the lubuntu package installer, vlc is built into it already.
